the path of a request

1. Cloudflare

   DNS and the tunnel. No port on the box is open to the internet: the traffic only comes in through Cloudflare.

2. k3s

   The cluster on one small ARM box at Hetzner: a pod for the site, a pod for the API, and Redis next to them.

3. Fastify

   The session, a CSP nonce of its own for every request, the language taken from the path, and the /api proxy.

4. React

   The route loads its modules, fetches its data up front and returns finished HTML together with the query cache.

5. Hono

   A separate Hono app: the schema sits next to the handler, and the OpenAPI document comes from it too.

6. Redis

   The sessions live here, so the language and the theme survive a restart of the app.

7. Browser

   The browser picks up the finished HTML and the cache, so it never asks for the same data twice.
